Who I Am
My name is Trent Ferry, I am a physical therapist graduating from Ohio University in 2022 with my clinical doctorate. Prior to this I received my exercise science degree from The Ohio State University. Also, I am a Board-Certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist (OCS).
There are approximately 10,000 physical therapists in Ohio, less than 10% of them are Board-Certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialists. Those who hold their OCS have taken additional time to study complex conditions and up to date research of best practices in orthopedic medicine represented by sitting and passing this American Physical Therapy Association specialty exam. Many who hold this certification work in academic or sport settings. I provide that level of expertise to your doorstep.
My Purpose
My journey into physical therapy began early, driven by my own experiences with sports injuries. Those setbacks sparked a lifelong fascination with human movement and the incredible capacity the body has to heal and perform when given the right training and recovery tools.
Staying active is more than just a hobby—it is a pillar of a fulfilling life. I created Ferry Physiotherapy & Recovery to bring professional-grade in-home recovery directly to you. Whether you are battling a nagging injury or looking to optimize your recovery from intense training or just a long week of work, my goal is to provide the expert care you need in the comfort of your own home. I am fortunate enough to be able to manage my body through these practices and principles. Being able to extend that ability to others is a blessing.

Traditional Model
Traditional Results
Cash-Based Care.
Less Time.
Less Money.
More Results.
The conventional physical therapy approach often follows a rigid schedule, requiring visits several times a week for months. While common, this method often leads to unnecessary repetitive sessions once the core issues are identified.
My model shifts the focus back to your progress and autonomy by providing high-level expertise without the constant commute. Instead of repetitive appointments for exercises you can perform independently, we meet every few weeks to assess your biomechanics, adjust your program, and ensure you are hitting your milestones. This method empowers you to master your own movement while I provide the specialized manual therapy and guidance needed to accelerate healing.
Ultimately, this is about efficiency and results. Rather than committing to 12 or 18 separate co-pays and sessions, we focus on a few high-impact consultations tailored to your specific goals. You spend less time in a clinic and less money on redundant visits, achieving a faster return to the activities you love through expert, personalized care.
Wellness services are non-medical, preventative, and performance-focused offerings designed to support general physical well-being. They are not physical therapy services and are not provided under my physical therapy license. They focus on optimizing movement, comfort, and overall health rather than correcting a specific pathology/impairment.
Wellness services can be utilized in addition to physical therapy services and are not intended to be used as a sole service.
Physical therapy services are medical in nature and are delivered under a licensed healthcare model. PT is intended to evaluate, diagnose, and treat injuries, pain, functional and movement limitations, or medical conditions. They can only be provided by someone who is licensed by the state.
A One-Stop Shop
PT & Wellness, what's the difference?
I believe the best outcomes happen when recovery and prevention work together. That’s why I offer both licensed physical therapy and wellness services—each with a clear purpose, and both designed to support your long‑term health and movement.
Disclaimer: Wellness services are not medical care and do not include evaluation, diagnosis, or treatment of injuries or medical conditions. Physical therapy services are provided separately under a licensed physical therapy practice.
Dry Needling
Dry needling is an option in mind for those who feel they have a good understanding and routine of their recovery but are looking for a missing piece. These stand alone session are designed to provide you with effective relief from muscle pain and tension. Physical Therapy Services
Recovery Sessions
Physical therapy sessions designed for active individuals that do not have pathologic injury symptoms but instead are looking to optimizing movement and function. You undergo screening not for an injury but instead for muscle imbalances, strength deficits, range of motion restrictions and other physical impairments. These sessions focus on optimizing recovery, addressing movement dysfunction, and managing neuromusculoskeletal impairments related to performance demands and are provided within the scope of licensed physical therapy practice. Treatment emphasizes skilled manual therapy techniques and therapeutic interventions used within physical therapy care, which may include, but are not limited to, cupping, soft‑tissue and manual therapy techniques, myofascial release, dry needling, joint mobilization or manipulation, and kinesiology taping.
Follow up sessions
Follow ups as needed after a new injury assessment is completed. The frequency of these is determined by you and myself. 45-60 minute sessions with all services available including but not limited to correction exercises, re-checks of previous impairments, cupping, massage, manipulations, manual stretching, etc.
New Injury Assessment
A thorough evaluation of the body and review of impairments followed by an explanation of the pathology and the framework of your personal treatment plan.
